What & how we Handle

IDP provides logistics services across the food and feed chain, from raw materials or finished products arriving from outside the EU to finished products moving on to their next destination. The portfolio ranges from Dairy, Potatoes & Other Starchy Foods, Meat & Poultry, Fish & Seafood, Eggs, Vegetables, Fruit,Bananas, Grains & Cereals, Nuts & Seeds, Oils & Fats, Bread & Bakery products, Beverages, Sweets & Confectionery,…Packaging materials and Feed. All of it is handled from a single facility in the port of Antwerp

What these consignments have in common is not the commodity but the requirements attached to it: temperature regime, official controls, customs status, traceability and lead time. Handling is carried out in accordance with FASFC (FAVV), BRC, IFS Logistics and organic requirements.

If you run into any problems, we are here to help.

Our clients enter the chain at different points

Producers importing raw materials, traders moving volume, distributors using Antwerp as their European entry point, and forwarders contracting capacity they do not hold themselves.

We cover the section between arrival at the port and onward delivery in full, and connect to the arrangements already in place on either side of it.

Full scope, or a single link

Clients contract us in two ways. Some appoint us for the entire chain: we take delivery of the container, arrange the official controls and the customs formalities, store the consignment under the required regime, prepare the orders and deliver to their production or warehouse facility within the EU.

Others contract a single link; storage, transport, customs formalities or inspection; alongside arrangements they already hold, or those of their forwarder.

Not every flow starts at the port

Not all stock held here arrived by sea. Producers nearby use our facility as an extension of their own: we hold the stock, a fixed shuttle delivers it on call-off. And not everything stays, for distributors entering Europe through Antwerp we clear, hold and forward.
